A "Start Over" isn't Available

I received a "personalized" letter from Time Warner Cable today, which mentioned its launch of a new digital interactive service called "Start Over". This program allows the customer to "restart" a program from the beginning of a show. "Hmmm," I pondered. Wouldn't it be neat if people could just start over, or have a second chance at doing something differently in our past? Well, as you are already aware, we can't do that. The past is already over, but we can begin to think about our future. Even, more importantly, we can embrace the present -since it is a "gift".

During this season of thanksgiving and renewal, I invite you to consider how you can move forward with living a joyous and abundant life by more effectively using your time, talent and resources to make an impact on others and the community to which you abide. I stand firm on the Biblical scripture, "to whom much is given, much is required" (Luke 12:42). We're all woven together in this beautiful tapestry of life, so be intentional about how you'll share your life today. (Galatians 6:4)
